Unfortunately, no. We've looked across similar companies with better bottom lines and most of them have struggled to recover their early investment. In the next five years, the economy of becoming a predominantly solar company might be a real option. Right now, though, it just doesn't make sense.

Not really. Of course, everybody loves the idea of solar power. It's just still too cost intensive to get the infrastructure set up. We wouldn't see returns for the next ten years. Those are years that we don't have to spare.

We've made some key conclusions. Namely, most municipalities that the approach that energy is outside of their jurisdiction. They have a lot of ideas, but they don't have the leverage to act on them. In general, they end up lobbying the governor and state senators to enact energy legislation that supports their interests.

The best examples come from Anderson-Avery and Iogenics. Both of them faced similar struggles and were able to invest in new energy infrastructure that improved their energy costs by as much as 24% in the following three years.
